
Film production course
This 14-week course is a unique opportunity for those interested in film to get a comprehensive education in both the theory and practice of film production.
Participants work in groups of 5 and use Swedish Cinema House's professional equipment and training resources to produce 10-minute short films.
Each course has a maximum number of 10 participants to ensure high quality teaching.
The course offers a complete and professional experience to learn and apply all aspects of filmmaking.
Program for 14-week film production course (28 sessions - 112 hours)
This course is designed to educate participants in both the theory and practice of filmmaking. At the end of the course, two short films (10 minutes each) will be produced by two groups of five people.
Course duration: 14 weeks
Number of lessons: 28 lessons (2 times a week, 4 hours per lesson)
Total hours: 112 hours
Course objectives: Improve acting techniques, deepen character work and prepare for stage and camera challenges.
Course Structure:
Week 1-4: Basic Training and Practical Exercises (8 sessions - 32 hours)

Introduction to filmmaking: roles and production phases.

Basic principles of directing, filming, lighting, sound, and editing.
Practical exercises with cameras, lights, and sound.
Week 5-8: Pre-production and Project Planning (8 sessions - 32 hours)

Screenwriting, storyboarding, and production planning.
Group work for script development and planning a short film.
Equipment preparation and practical production.
Week 9-10: Short Film Production (4 sessions - 16 hours)

Each group produces a short film (10 minutes).
Role distribution: director, cinematographer, actors, sound technician, and scene manager.
Week 11-13: Editing and Post-production (6 sessions - 24 hours)

Basic and advanced editing with professional software.
Sound design, color correction, and finalizing the films.
Feedback and improvements.
Week 14: Screening and Feedback (2 sessions - 8 hours)

Screening of completed short films.
Discussion and feedback from instructors and participants.
